It’s been a little over a week since Playa Saturno released and let us all just collectively agree that Rauw has all of a reggaeton lovers in a chokehold. This album is a clubbing dream, it’s a dancing album through and through. Of course everyone had high expectations after Saturno was released, after releasing the tracklist and features of Playa Saturno I think everyone knew we were in for a bop.
I think most of us agree that Playa Saturno is a great sister album to the Saturno, he knows what he’s doing when it comes to making music – and being an excellent fiancé. Not to mention breaking into the Latin Music Industry right now is near impossible, the artists are HUGE. Like unfathomable amount of popularity. Getting yourself heard no matter how amazing is a feat, Rauw clear from his collaborations over the years knows exactly how to network.

Can I just say I absolutely love this album cover. It’s so Rauw. I think that’s my favorite part of the Latin Music Industry, it’s so creative and always so fun.
Now lets finally talk about the music shall we?
Instantly I developed favourites, Si Te Pegas, Cuando Baje el Sol, No Me la Molestes, Cuki, and of course Baby Hello. Now judging from Baby Hello (the first single to be released) I do want to say the vibe of the album is a little unexpected. Not in a bad way, but Baby Hello definitely stands out – probably the best track on the album. I definitely believe there’s credit to be given to Bizarrap on that front, what an amazing collaborator.
P.s – I wish the Music Session had gotten the same amount of love as Baby Hello. Yo ‘toy solo y tú ‘tás solaaaaa

If you haven’t given Playa Saturno a listen I do recommend a listen, it’s such a vibe. Honestly it doesn’t matter what critics have to say about it, it’s going to be played in every club in North America over the summer.
As much as I like the Saturno series, Vice Versa will always be my favorite.
