Twisted Perfection is the sister duology to the Fallen Too Far trilogy. It’s an extension of the Rosemary universe that Abbi has created for us. The writing is absolute perfection, and for me personally, Della and Wood’s story is my favorite out of the whole universe.

In the Fallen Too Far trilogy we were introduced to Woods. The quintessential playboy and all around asshole… at least in those books. We are introduced to a new version of Woods in Twisted Perfection. He’s oddly enough this thoughtful, sensitive, frustrated, driven, individual. I know this is going to be a controversial opinion, but I might even like Woods more than Rush. His character arc really came through full force in this book.

It makes more sense after this book why Woods is so uptight, his family is no peach. Yes of course he is a gentleman when need be. The amount he helped Rush and Blaire in the Fallen Too Far trilogy is often overlooked.

The end of this book is the real testament to how he’s going to maintain his new found love.

“I am in awe of the things you’ve been put through and the fact you can still light up a room when you walk in. When I look at you I see life. I see joy. I see my future.”

Abbi introduces us to Della in the introduction of Twisted Perfection. We know from the get go she’s running away from something. Trust me none of us anticipated what this girl is actually going through until her memories start making an appearance. Della is this sweet, delicate, flower that has never known anything in life to be easy.
Seeing her transform into this delicate badass is so beautiful.

Della still has a lot of self healing to do before she can finally enter her happy place with her man. She takes all the right steps to becoming the best version of herself, not to mention never running away from situations. Ironic considering how the book starts.. I know. But if we really look at it, she doesn’t ever run away. She gets sent away, but she deals with things head on.

I’m curious to see if she see’s her own strength in the next book.

“Identifying pain in others was easy for me. I was drawn to it in some strange perverse way.”

Special shout out to Braden and her Husband. We all need people like that in our corners. They fought tooth and nail for Della, but at the same time they also let her find her own way.

Twisted Perfection is my favorite book written by Abbi Glines. I’m pretty sure it’s because of the characters, Della although dealing with some heavy stuff, is so relatable. We all want to be strong like Blaire, but Della shows that there’s different versions of strength.

We’re getting more glimpses into everyones lives in this book, we finally meet Tripp – who may I say is an absolute sweetheart. I can’t wait to read his story.

Basically this book leaves you wanting more in the best possible way.
