What a weekend it truly was! From Coachella standouts, to the Eras Tour, and let’s not forget Frank Ocean’s fiasco. It was one thing after another this past weekend, and I was HERE FOR IT. We were being fed content we didn’t even know we needed, this entire year is going to be filled with all the concerts and festivals everyone was deprived of during the pandemic.
It’s going to be a crazy, unexpected ride. We’re going to have so much fun!

One of my favorite things about the first weekend of Coachella was definitely the international reach of the festival. We had latin artists, Indian artists, Kpop, etc. With Bad Bunny opening the show we knew it was going to be a good one. I friggen love Bad Bunny, the vibes, the music. I don’t speak Spanish, but I speak Bad Bunny. His performance was great in terms of encapsulating a crowd that is all just having a giant dance party, but him actually up on stage… I just felt there was too much going on. Bringing out Post Malone was amazing, but I was not there for the jet skis when I just wanted to hear Dakiti, Jhay carried that whole song.
Blackpink was definitely the talk of the town after yesterday. If they weren’t big enough already, they cemented a legacy after that fire performance yesterday. The energy was immaculate, they put so much effort into the entire set, the solos were bomb. I have nothing bad to say about their performance at all, they absolutely killed it. People are going to be talking about it for years to come.
Special shout out to Diljit Dosanjh! The first Punjabi artist to perform at Coachella. I get the crowd probably wasn’t as big as he’s used to in India, but he did a great job. From start to finish he killed it, like he said sometimes it’s just about vibing and not understanding what’s being said.

This woman right here was the highlight of my entire weekend. I’m already a huge Rosalia fan, but every time she performs it just makes her fanbase grow bigger and bigger. She KILLED it at Coachella. I had no desire to ever try to go to Coachella, but I got mad FOMO this weekend because of Rosalia. I need to go to her tour now.
She opened with Saoko, she looked gorgeous, and the dancers she brought in with her from her tour absolutely ATE. Everyone on stage was having so much fun. I think every single person out there was a vibing from start to finish of her set. Finally the world got to appreciate La Combi Versace once again, and of course her feature of Blinding Lights.. I just don’t have words.
Bringing out Rauw was just the cherry on top. I can totally pinpoint which song was my favorite of the night.. ahem.. Beso. They’re both such skilled performers, not to mention a stunning couple.
Also she did all that while being SICK. Miss girl. I cannot even fathom her stamina. Friggen GOAT energy.

The Eras Tour is the gift that keeps on giving. The Tampa weekend was a long anticipated one, especially after the announcement of Taylor’s recent break up. Boy did she deliver, I was sobbing during those surprise songs. Speak Now, Great War, You’re On Your Own Kid, TRECHEROUS!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! Every time I think the audience was the luckiest with the secret songs, this weekend was the one where I was the most envious.
There was a fan holding up a sign, asking Taylor, “You okay?” Of course she gave them a thumbs up. All the Swifties can now take a breather. Jokes apart, I really think by not responding Taylor still had the last word.
Also her OUTFITS. The green Alberta gown for the folklore section, and the orange 1989 outfit, everything was giving. She’s absolutely gorgeous and glowing. Such a role model.
All the little mishaps and her hair going from pin straight to curly just added to the amazing chaos.

The weekend of April 14 2023 was a legendary one in the world of music. I think most of us are still processing everything that happened. I for one am trying to figure out how I can listen to Beso and My Tears Ricochet at the same time.
