Lana Lana Lana. What a classy gal. We fell in love with her in the Up In The Air, she was cordial and kind. Not to mention beautiful. It was obvious Lana had a back story, and it was a painful one. She was described as this secluded, recluse, that travelled the world to avoid life.

But then her friends and family get in the way and send her back to Hawaii. There she crashes into her first and only love of her life: Akira. Akira and his family are a hoot, it’s so refreshing to see an author describe an array of characters so descriptively that you feel like they’re a part of your life.
“You were this perfect, enchantingly beautiful girl that made the world brighter just by being in it, and you were ours. I can’t tell you how sorry I am that I drove you away.”
Akira and Lana faced years of distance due to misunderstanding between the two of them. After everything finally getting cleared up their reconciliation was quick and oh so happy.
“This is paradise. You took my paradise with you when you left, Lana.”
It’s a very simple romance novel that doesn’t have any huge life altering events happening. Its just Akira and Lana figuring out they work together and they waste no time in getting their life moving.
Bonus: the Hawaii backdrop. It’s such a descriptive novel, everything about it feels like the sun is shining and you’re waking up to the fresh air of the island.
