Devnaagri embodies comfortable, elegant ethnic fashion. This has turned out to be one of my favourites for everyday ethnic wear. They have the most beautiful sihouettes available, stunning pastel colors, and of course the fabrics. They have organza made ensembles with delicate embroidery. There is not anyone in the world that wouldn’t look good in a Devnaagri outfit.

I love the combination of wide legged pants with shorter tight fitting kameez. Sometimes they put two colors together that would not seem to look together at all, but somehow it works. They occasionally play with prints and never fail to do it right.

I’ve been told this brand has nothing special, looks like something you could buy anywhere. The point here isn’t to look at where we would invest and get similar looking outfits, the point is to appreciate a brand that makes beautiful clothing. Devnaagri makes beautiful clothing, let’s appreciate it.

The prints sometimes remind me of House of Masaba. But kind of less in your face and more subtle. Embroidery is usually minimal but effective. I love the pattern work, one thing I would change is the borders/gottas. It might just be a personal preference, I really just dislike that chunky gotta.

I’m a sucker for white, any white piece of clothing makes anyone look like they are put together, and for lack of a better word: pretty. Devnaagri likes to add whites into a lot of their pieces, either as an accent or the main color. It works so well. Not to mention the use of organza in such structured clothing – testament to their quality.
Their outfits are extremely easy to style, minimal dainty jewelry matches them best.

Devnaagri may not be groundbreaking but they have been creating ensembles in their niche extremely well. The stitching and finish is extremely clean, lines and ruffles are never wonky. The minimal embroidery is stunning, the color combinations are never odd. One thing you can guarantee if you purchase an outfit from Devnaagri is you’ll be getting a quality piece.

Playing with organza the way they do is so appealing to the eye. It’s a hard fabric to work with – my amateur brain assumes. But they make the embroidery look so fresh on it. It’s the perfect fabric for their simplistic designs. I’m not to sure if its the fabric or just the dying technique, but they make every single color so vibrant. Not only the pastels but the more bold ones as well.

Devnaagri is a beautiful designer for Indian ethnic wear. There needs to be a brand that creates such in the Indian fashion industry. Of course there are alternative cheaper options, but if you want something easy and accessible this is the way to go. Organza isn’t always done right, in this case it’s not done wrong.

I personally have loved everything I have seen about this brand thus far, they will be getting my support. Once I can afford to I’ll be investing in one or two outfits as well – or maybe 5.
