Delicate feminine ethnic wear embodies the likes of Varun Bahl. I’m a sucker for any florals – I know groundbreaking. I’ve said this in the past, and I’ll say it again. Not everyone needs to be a trailblazer. Varun Bahl embodies delicate lacy feminine ensembles. Most silhouettes are very traditional and safe for most individuals. Which is never a bad thing.
His floral prints are monochromatic and always complimenting the base fabric. When we don’t have flowers, we have delicate lace layered in such a way that the entire garment looks decadent.

You don’t need to have a certain body type to pull off an outfit by Varun Bahl, anyone wearing clothing made by him will be guaranteed to look divine. One of my favotire looks has to be Kajal Aggarwal’s. It’s an absolutely stunning anarkali photographed with a bunch of flowers around her. She embodies the whole Indian princess look with that outfit.
There’s slight plays on silhouettes, net sleeves, tulle, ruffles. If there isn’t flower embroidered onto the fabric, the printing of the fabric is adored with some of the most beautiful florals out there. Sprinkle some sequins on there and you have one of the most beautiful Indian ethnic outfits out there.

I love the net sarees, they’re some of the best in the industry. They embroidery is so beautiful. I don’t think I could ever get enough of flowers. I know people say they’re over done, but I believe the contrary – there’s never enough glitter, theres never too many flowers, and there’s never enough velvet. All three of those entities easily elevate even the most crappy of outfits.
You combine all three – lace, flowers, and the beautiful color combinations makes for Varun Bahl creating his own trajectory in the Indian fashion world. There are always a need for a what he creates, and there’s no going out of business in this regard. Like I said if you’re doing something right and you’re passionate about it, there’s no need to branch out in avant garde fashion just for the sake of it.

I love all the color combinations. It reminds me of Anita Dongre’s color schemes while still staying true to its originality. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a ‘ugly’ Varun Bahl ensemble. They are all so appealing the eye. Styling an outfit is so easy as well. It really doesn’t matter what you do, they outfit itself will have everyone asking who you’re wearing.
Varun Bahl has created his own lane in the Indian Fashion Industry, and he stays in it. Never does he go about things that he’s not comfortable creating, his own vision is exquisite. All the use of florals – either embroidery or print, the colors, the lace and the intricate thread work makes for some of the most stunning ethnic wears. I wouldn’t say Varun Bahl is for the bridal look, but it’s you’re looking for pre bridal looks or for wedding party looks, this is the way to go!
