The latest cultural phenomenon has been trending television. We binge certain tv shows because it is of the popular opinion to be ‘binge-worthy’. Sometimes we’re all collectively impressed, and the other half of the time we are collectively disappointed.
The watcher was one of those cases, we all watched it because everyone else was watching it. No matter how slow it started we were going to watch it, and it was one of those shows you just had to finish.

Personally I feel they could have done better yes. But I loved it. The quirky characters, the atmosphere created was amazing. And also I’m a junky for clothing so I was loving every bit of Karen’s closet. The only characters oddly enough were the main family – other than the son of course. Even the ferret was more likeable than the mom, dad, and daughter. They seemed like assholes pre living in the creepy neighbourhood.
I’ll be honest I didn’t know what a dumbwaiter was until I watched the show. I’m telling you television teaches you something new everyday.
The neighbours were so quirky, randomly people died and then it was no big deal when they weren’t actually dead? It almost felt kind of like satire.

I wish they leaned more into the satirical vibe, because although the quality of the actors and sets remained, they did kind of lose the plot towards the end. The lead up to that last episode was amazing, and the actor all did an amazing job. I’m just upset there’s so many loose ends, like where did Karen go after she ran away. Why was the guy so obsessed with the house still?
The house itself was absolutely stunning.
The Watcher was a one of those shows where you can’t stop watching in anticipation to get the answers. But then you finish and you’re left with more questions than when you started it. I still would recommend watching it, if you haven’t already. – cinematography is stunning. The rewatch value is absolutely non existent, but it’s definitely pretty to look at.
