Zuhair Murad in today’s day and age has become a household name in the game of fashion. Zuhair brought Middle Eastern opulence to North America’s haute couture. Arab haute couture is known to be voluminous and embodying the essence of ‘sparkly’. It give the individual adorning the piece automatically feel like a princess. The sheer amount of creativity in each piece is mind boggling.

From neck lines, to gowns, to ball gowns, and even fitted dresses: everything is extra. Again this is the Arab world for you – go big or go home.

Lace is layering such a patter that is automatically eye catching. The sequencing is never over powering. Powerful shoulders, sweetheart lines, plunging necklines. This all has to be done right to be appealing to the eye. But the biggest attraction is definitely the flattering silhouettes – not only for the modelesque body type, but for every body type.

There are definitely the princess gowns which make everyone look like a million bucks. But then also there’s those pieces that are more circling around prints and flowy fabrics. The silhouette is always flattering and makes even the similast of dresses look extremely high end.

Very strategic cuts are places in a way that make the piece even more flattering. My personal favourite is definitely the sweetheart strapless cut – it looks good on everyone. Murad also places belts in such a way that are specific to the individuals proportions, they’re never looking ill fitted.

You know how sometimes avant guarde fashion almost looks like a parody of wannabe fashion? I believe Zuhair Murad is one of the few designers out there that makes it wearable. He has created the most beautiful combination of bling meets classic fashion.

Bollywood celebrities have started to adorn the brand more and more in recent times. It’s such a nice compliment to Indian fashion. A lot of the ideas are very similar. Intricate embroidery, lots of fabric, voluminous lower half with a nice fitted upper half. But the one thing differs are the silhouettes. Zuhair Murad maybe a typical Indian silhouette adorned with a cape. Yet it works so well.

Accesorizing should honestly in my opinion be minimal with the grandeur of Zuhair Murad. A big chunky necklace would take away from the piece and the beautiful necklines he creates. Dainty is definatelyy the way to go with this brand.

Zuhair Murad new from the beginning he wanted to break into the fashion industry. He brought his Lebanese influences and the grandeur inherited from his roots and brought it with him to Paris. He now has multiple fashion houses across Europe, and well deserved. In recent times his name has gotten huge in the Hollywood and Bollywood circles. If you want to look like an ethnic princess a Murad gown is the way to go.

His pieces speak for themselves, of course the hair and makeup going with it matter. But the outfit itself will never disappoint. Theres consistency, creativity, talent and intelligence all playing a role here.

Zuhair Murad is one for the history books.
