Regal, intricate, bold embroidery, rich colors. All of these scream Rohit Bal Couture. Maroons and blacks with an envelopment of velvet creates the most beautiful of outfits. Now let’s be clear, these are not for a casual walk around the block (although no judgment if thats your speed). These are pieces that are meant to be admired.
Men and women alike, he creates pieces that make everyone look like royalty. Similar designs for genders, yet slight changes to the silhouettes makes for the perfect fit.

They styling for a Rohit Bal definately needs to be thought out. Slapping on jewelry and no makeup makeup doesn’t work for these pieces. The jewelry and makeup has to be as bold to make the entire look be tied together. It’s not as easy to style as other brands, but once everything comes together it’s well worth the experimenting .
The designs are bold, and big. Something I usually wouldn’t go for, but theres so much fabric being utilized, it all works somehow. It never ever looks gaudy, and if you look closely, each piece of embroidery has much much smaller intricate designs woven in between.

My favorite part of the designer has to be the fact that he makes as many pieces for men as he does for women. And there’s definitely no cutting corners. The designs for any gender are in fact as intricate as they are for any bridal piece. The silhouettes of the pieces are also so different, we definitely have the men blazers. But then for the women we have the typical lenghas of course, but we have these anarkalis thats are almost like a trench coat like design. We have the wrap around churdiaars, and we have jackers for the women as well.
Honestly this brand is so unique, I wouldn’t associate it with being an Indian Designer right off the bat. They are westernized ethnic pieces, but so versatile that they wouldn’t have to be worn at an Indian event… aka the Met Gala.

I can’t get over how well each piece of clothing fits each individual. This is one of those few Indian designers that justifies the price point. If you were to look up couture, this would would be the definition. Every single one of the pictures above, just look at the confidence they are carrying themselves. If someone is uncomfortable in their clothing it shows very obviously on their face and their posture. Rohit Bal is extremely versatile in that, which is odd because his pieces are not at all traditional.
Rohit Bal is one of those designers we’re proud to say is Indian. He really is taking the Indian fashion industry to new heights and in a different direction. Yes he has his niche, but he’s also pushing the boundaries. There is every kind of print, embroidery, and fabrics being involved, there are so many experiments being done with silhouettes. But there is no piece being released that is half assed. Excuse my language. Every piece’s quality matches the previous and the next.
It’s hard to find such consistency and love for fashion in today’s age of fast fashion.
