If you haven’t seen the show or read the books: SPOILERS ALERT.

My favourite part of starting any television series is definitely the sense of community formed by the viewers. Usually I’m really behind in watching series, but this time I was watching House of the Dragon in real time.

The memes, the jokes all over social media are absolutely golden. Watching cast interviews go viral and over the most relevant of things has been such a reward.

Vizzy T has become a reddit phenomenon. Who would have thought? He’s become our mascot for a crazy community of people that are just appreciating the show and characters.

I’m not sure if its just because I’ve chosen the correct sources of social media to follow up on HOTD, but there is literally zero toxicity. There is no one out there berating anyone for getting the facts wrong, we’re all just discussing the show and theories together without any judgment of not being nerdy enough.

Book readers don’t hate the ones that have only watched the show, and the television viewers don’t act like snobs either. Like I said the sense of community this show has created is definitely one of the highest forms of praise the show can get.

I posted this family tree on reddit, I did not realize that I had prematurely killed off Corlys. Instead of roasting me to death we all just laughed about it together.
Honestly I made the tree for myself because I couldn’t get the generations straightened out in my head, it turned out a lot of people had it jumbled up.

Now I know everyone knows the quality of this is show is bounds and leaps above anything else being made today, that’s why I didn’t really want to obsess over storylines or CGI, or the great acting. It’s a given. The show makers have made hell of an effort and actors have all delivered beyond expectations.

One of my favourite shots is definately anything that involved Vhagar and Arrax. The dragons give the show a whole new feel. Imagine being a Targaryen and feeling that powerful with a dragon, don’t you dare lie to me. You get goosebumps every time a dragon comes on the screen don’t you?

You know you need to watch House of the Dragon, I won’t be beating that drum. But what I do suggest is, if you’re a fan of the show, please do come participate in the watching communities. It’s honestly feels like a sense of belonging and like you’re all experiencing this greatness at the same time.
