Pichiccka is one of those brands that has blown up recently. It broke out in the organza and hand painting sector of Indian fashion like not other. They started trends after years of trying. In the time that they have emerged they have managed to have many iconic pieces that are immediately recognizable.
Now I understand a lot of people think the price point is ridiculous, it kind of is. But honestly the amount of hand painting work gone into a lot of the pieces seems justified. I do not at all know anything about fabric textures, but I can’t imagine organza is easy to work with.

Yes the brand was well known to celebs, but I think it really blew up with the masses when it Kareena came out with that Bebo sari. We all thought it was such a delicate piece with her name written across it, and it works so well. Everything is incorporated into the design.
They not only do prints and fabrics really well, but the colours they use are so well sought out. We’re used to seeing the heavy embroidery or patterns on either very multicoloured pieces, or pastels. Picchika does it wall yet still maintains its fragile nature.

The silhouettes are done so well, they do get experimental here and there but not to much t o seem avant guarde. The brand leaves up the occasion to the owner of the piece, depending on how you accessorize and style the piece it could honestly be worn to anything. Not to mention its multigenerational, again all depending on how it’s styled.
They have similar designs and colours in multiple sillouhettes, this is so welcome to most customers. Why? Again it makes it so anyone can wear everything.

Anarkali’s were almost going out of style and then Picchika brought back the trend. Strapless sari blouses made chic and comfortable are so on brand for them. I can’t praise the pieces enough, everything is beautiful.
They have a signature, came in with an insanely strong concept and stuck to it. Picchika is so recognizable, which is always a good thing. I’m not to sure how accessible customizing pieces is to the general public, but its a nice touch. Picchika screams fragile grace, they envisioned princesses and delivered.
Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m on my way to go purchase one of these Anarkalis.
