Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla. It’s a mouthful. A luxury Indian fashion brand that seems to be favoured by many celebrities. But is it all that it claims to be? Kind of.

AJSK is known for their louder than life outfits, intricate embroidery, luxurious fabrics. In short, the price point is what it is for a reason. One thing you’ll never experience from AJSK is poor quality

They do everything- tiled mirror mosaics, color, pearls, heavy embroidery, sequins, etc. They do it all and they do a lot of it. But one thing that is definitely a stand out is the pattern work. Every kind of style they choose to design is always in some kind of pattern, nothing is done to fill the space. There’s always some kind of purpose behind the work.

I will say though that if you see someone out and about wearing AJSK, its not exactly distinguishable. It doesn’t have a signature look. Not to say that it won’t be a beautiful piece, they just have adopted the saying ‘variety is the spice of life’ down to a T.

One my favourite things about AJSK is definitely when they play with colours. In my opinion out of all the designer brands, AJSK do it best. They combine their love for patterns with a colourful array of colours that compliment one another. It’s never overpowering and there may be a contrast, but it all works in the grand scheme.

Sometimes I love it, and sometimes I find it way too garish for my liking. Now if I had the choice to talk and work with the designers and communicate my style and vision, I’m sure they would deliver beyond my expectations. It takes a lot to carry a AJSK outfit, theyre loud and heavy. My one criticism would be that most of the outfits do end up wearing the individual instead of the other way around.

AJSK may be a dream brand for many, but for me it would be something I would really have to look into and see in person before purchasing. I wouldn’t be chancing it on an online purchase. Let’s be honest, I wouldn’t be purchasing it at all. My frame is way to small to pull off such heavy designs. I would prefer to admire them from afar on those who can carry them.

What I will be purchasing is one of those patterned coloured pieces. Those fit totally into my aesthetic and style, they are absolutely stunning.
