Falguni Shane Peacock. This one I’m excited for. This is probably one of my top 3 favourite Indian designers. They’re so consistent with their work and create supermodel-esque pieces for everyone alike. One thing they are known for are their feathers, which you would thing would make this avant-guarde fashion? Nope not at all, the pieces are all delicate and the feathers compliment the already intricate designs.

Why oh why is this brand so underrated in the media! They have their own magazine showcasing their work and designs, but I doubt the masses know about it.

Every time I go through these pictures, I fall more and more in love with this brand. It’s such a beautiful mix of netting, beading, and patterns. My bridal lengha if I were to ever get married would be Falguni Shane Peacock. Every single piece is instantly a classic, it’s not too experimental, just enough so that majority of people can wear it.

Gowns and lenghas, in my opinion I really don’t think anyone does it better. Now when it comes to shorter dresses and unconventional silhouettes – not my favourite. I feel like it’s transferring ethnic traditional designs to western wear – doesn’t always work.

That being said they paid an ode to the ‘Peacock’ part of the name by using feathers. Sparingly and complimenting all the pieces, they’ve definitely lived up their name.

This is another brand that definitely matches the price point. Look at those intricate design – one lengha probably takes months to make.

Like I said I’m not a fan of when they transfer their ethnic designs to westernized outfits, but when they do independently western pieces theyre so fucking sexy.

That is the word I would use to describe this brand as a whole: sexy. But not in your face sexy, more so subdued sexy.

I cannot wait for the day when I can afford to buy a Falguni Shane Peacock Lengha, it will be my first ethnic wear purchase when possible. I absolutely love this brand and I cannot stress enough how much more it should be praised. Even if we can’t afford to buy we can always appreciate. Everything about it is appealing to the eye.
